Wal Bass Club.

I am a physician. Started as a surgeon. I'm trying to work my way back towards it. I grew up in an environment where you only mattered if you were a football player so I did that in college while I kept working towards a medical career. This little break from training has been something I needed to explore life and and find my place in the world. Bass helped me get through a hard time. Now I feel like I still have to fight the people who just want to see me as a jock with my music choices. My brain is always running. Music and bass give it a positive avenue.

Simple answer yes I am a physician really a surgeon.

They are. I got the setup adjusted to my liking. I like a low action amp turned up. Getting used to the preamp. Things is smooth. I am definitely satisfied. The level of engineering and attention to detail on these basses are amazing. I may actually try to start working with a teacher on some of these bassoon sonatas.

I sent the guy a message asking how firm he is on the price and if he would sell to the US.

Where are the fretless basses?

Cant find my charger for my camera so i will post 2 pics for now. Will get a proper fam pic then.

Damn that 5er is hawt, did it take some getting used to with only the side fret markers? I like the fretless look without the fretboard markers, but I'm so used to it I feel like it would be tough to get passed.

AFAIK all current Wals only come with a mahogany core or solid mahogany if its painted.

When I was inquiring about a new bass, Paul confirmed that he's unwilling to do anything but a mahogany core as it would alter the sound that Wal's have become known for. I know some have been made in the past pre-Paul's takeover, dunno if he's done any.

I heard the same thing about the "unwillingness"...lol

Still getting used to the side fret markers. Having the red l.e.d's help though! :smug:
(no l.e.d's on the BE MKII....but the killer punch makes up for it!)

Forgot you had that BE, I bet it sounds great. No neck stripes on it, not sure I've ever seen that before. You need to put up some more youtube videos with the new basses.

I'm on the prowl for a 4 string Mk3 but they just never go up for sale.

Yup!! Mk II's are a hard find too, but Mk III is quite the rarity! You're likely to see a Mk II and Mk III in a 5 string pop up a bit more then a 4 string.

Luckily I jumped on my recent Mk III acquisition at the right time :bassist:

You need to put up some more youtube videos with the new basses.
