People really limit themselves when it's local pick up only. Especially when the whole world want these, and they tend to sell very fast.

This summer, an absolute beautiful maple faced 4 string MkIII popped up on ebay uk, but was also "local pick up only". The bass bid up to only a pretty low £2275. The dude coulda gotten a grand £ more had he opened to a broader buyer base.

:p just saying - you could be right and might very well be the reflections or angle the pic was taken....description stated bridge and knobs were replaced and tuners looked kinda suspect. The Wal I got from the Gallery last year had a broken peg, which wasn't disclosed. So just looking out if someone were to inquire about it over there..... wouldn't hurt to ask if they could unwind that G string and move the tuner a smidge to see if its snug :smug:

Hey fellas. does anyone have a pricing list for new orders?

Are mkIII's more expensive than other models?

Weighing up a fretted 4 string zebrano MKIII with block inlays and ebony fingerboard and if possible a matching head-stock?
Also would you think he would put the paddle headstock on an mkIII?

Stop me settling for a stingray :hmm:

the 4 string MkII and MkIII are the same price; todays prices basically starting at £4050 before any options added.

A six string MkIII tuned EADGBE an octave down with a shorter scale and tight spacing? I can't speak for Paul, but I'd be surprised if he were willing to build that configuration. It would be killer though. There's only one way to find out! Send that email! ;)

Yeah, it appears that I had been fed bad information for several years even before that. I made my first inquires back when there were none being made in the earlier 2000's. I talked to several stores here in the US and they kept saying that Wal Basses were done. Then later I apparently got fed bad info when Pete passed away.

I love it here in Dublin, it's a really nice place. I grew up in the Central Valley so the weather here is much nicer. Not much of a music scene but you can be in San Jose or San Francisco in less that 45 minutes.
