I've gone through all my old Wals and updated the electrolytic caps, it's a very common issue, and I'd recommend anyone with an older Wal to do the same. These caps only have about a 25yr service expectancy.
If its 20yrs and older I'd just do it. Remember when my 90 MkII arrived dead? That was my intro to those caps. The new ones Paul uses are 4.7uf 35V.What is an "older" Wal? And how do you identify electrolytic caps (vs. other types)?
