What's this? The day is upon us!
Ok, rather than spamming with a lot of pics all at once, let's take our time and let the story unfold. This was my trip to Wal Mecca, and I want you to share in every step of the journey.
This trip started at the airport. I hate long lines. Yes, I got stuck behind one guy and had to walk six feet to the right to check in with a different attendant. Look at the chaos!

What TORTURE!! Ok, so my luck would be, I'll run to the store, come back, and find a UPS sticker on my door (or in a bush)... "We will try to deliver again Monday, Oct. 13"What's this? The day is upon us!
Is it true you should wait 24 hours before opening the package to allow for humidity adjustments? If so will you wait???
Paul said wait an hour. I can do that. I ain't waiting a day.
ps ups wouldn't leave it without me paying customs COD with a cashiers check so I have to pick it up tonight. Woulda been nice to know. Customs is effing 525 dollars. according to the govt website, customs shoulda been like 5%. this thing wasn't $10000.![]()
There are all sorts of factors that will affect what you pay, if it's made in a country outside of NAFTA, if the wood is not from the US, etc. Plus you're paying sales tax as well as duty.
gah!!!! oh well.
Lol yeah it's ugly. Before the price increase of Wals, I was seriously on the fence about placing an order, but the fact that I'd be liable for another undisclosed amount on top of the already high price kinda stopped me in my tracks. I'd phoned Canada Customs at one point and they'd told me it would be somewhere around $800, that's nutty.
Did you place another order while you were there?I completely respect, as I will be returning once again...
