If people are paying then kudos for making so much on them haha. I paid $4,500 for my MK1 in 2012. Can’t imagine making a $2,000 profit on it, that seems crazy.Just interesting what people are asking for their used Wal’s. It seems like there are buyers, though!

Damn man that’s a steal on an MK2. It’s crazy to even think of them being in the 2-3k range. I remember when I was like 18 I saw a Wal on basscentral for 2200. Had no idea what it was at that time. In hindsight buying the stingray instead may have been a mistakei know of a couple people who bought Wals when they were $2000-3000 back then and sold it for alot more - so its not that crazy......i got my flamed Mk2 a couple hundred more then what you paid for your Mk1 back in 2011 and "if" i were to ever sell it - no way i'd be short changing myself. i'd say right now used Wals are a seller's market right now. Seller would just have to be 110% certain that they would want to sell their Wal, since the cost of "replacing it" would likely end up costing more.
the only other comment i have is used standard spec Wals would/should probably fetch less, whereas used Wals with ebony FB, non-standard timbre (shedua/zebrano/flamed/BE Maple, etc) would be the upper tier.

Brad, the updated Schaller M4's backside look like this. I like how they tapered the new post and put a flange at the top just under the Y key.
Funny, when Schaller first announced these last year, I copied a pic and sent it to Paul telling him I want these on my (gold hardware) Mk2 build he's doing and not textured-dull-gold Hipshots...and then shortly after he changed over to using these! Schaller does a much better job on the coloring of their plating than Hipshot, the coloring matches the Wal hardware perfectly. When he built my violet 5 string he had a hard time getting the hipshot "shiny nickel" to match because Hipshots plating is darker and he had to do some sort of smoke-tinting the hardware just so it would match.
