@Musicman1901 Ahaha that's what I thought as well, the price is immense! But if I don't get one I'll keep wondering why didn't I get one "when it was cheap". I guess in the meantime I'll have to buy a used Mk2 and sell it before the final payment is due.

Specs:

Mk2 Zebrano facings, clear gloss finish? Mk3 neck joint, Pau Ferro fretboard, 39mm neck, carbon neck reinforcement, brass nut, black hardware.

Sounds awesome! I love zebrano finishes. That will be gorgeous man. I always dig the black hardware.

Speaking of hardware does anyone know what the Wals in the 80s were using for tuners? I literally thought nothing of it until today when I realized my tuning pegs don't match my bridge and strap buttons. Makes me wonder if maybe a previous owner replaced the tuners. My tuners are chrome Schallers but my bridge and strap buttons are black.

Man! Thats quite a chunk of change!

My Mk2 will be done mid-summer, but as far as exchange rates go, I wish I would have paid it all off last year when the exchange rate was 12-15% lower than is it today.

The chrome Schallers are correct.
And your strap buttons would have been chrome, and the hardware and saddles of the bridge would all be chrome. Only the bridge frame would be black.

Correct. Those buttons and the plastic washers are not Wal.

Of all the Wals I bought, I can only remember two having the original buttons on em. So majority of the time they had straplocks or an aftermarket button because someone removed their locks.

WOW!
My Mk. 1 cost me $3,043.00 including the flight case. The bass was $2598.00 and the case was $385.00.
I ordered it in April of 1993 and it arrived just three and a half months later.

Sure, that was 25 years ago but there's no way I could EVER afford one now.

This is what reinforced the thought that the price is certainly exorbitant.

I did more math it's actually coming out to $12.5k. Ouch! However this was expected, judging from the used Wal prices on the classifieds. I'll manage. With this price I'm going to take it to the grave with me. :roflmao:
