Wal Bass Club.

You either want this bass or not, but do NOT message the seller unless you want to deal with someone not very pleasant. You’ve been warned.

No affiliation whatsoever!

Wal Mk3 Custom 5 string Bass MK 3

If I'm guessing right, that's the roasted sycamore bass that Paul had on display at the UK Bassbash that year. Supposed to be really light and somewhere around 9 lbs?

I bet it will sell quickly. Given the condition, plus the fact that that you wouldn't have a three year wait, wouldn't have the headache of dealing with customs and the associated fees, etc. A new one goes for 8500 USD at this point, right?

Yep. $8500 starting price at the current exchange rate. I don't know which options it has as far as upgrades, but it's likely a $10-12k bass by the time it got here.

Insane price.

if you mean an insane price as a bargain....i'd have to say yes. upcharges on this would be type of facing + black hardware. you're probably looking at another £700+, add the base price of £6700 and 30 month wait time... then add shipping cost and duty....fuhgeddaboudit! such a no brainer if you've been on the fence for getting a Wal 5er.....which appears a guy on FB immediately jumped on it.

+1, I think we are seeing the end of the used Wal price range that a lot of folks have grown accustomed to. As more and more of Paul's basses end up in the wild, I think used prices will increase accordingly. Maybe the old ones will stay less expensive, but I think that line is going to blur over the next 5 years or so. Either way, someone scored! :)

Kulit - Youre slippin bro! ;)

Those are really hefty prices! I would never buy it for that price. Luckily I already have two Wals.

As long as people are going to pay that kind of money for a Wal they can raise the price as high as they want.

Do you really feel 6500 pound is a bargain?

Insane price.

I whole heartedly agree with @bigsnack even with the comment with older ones being slightly bit inexpensive compared to a newer Paul build but I find it hilarious you seem to think used prices are gonna stay stagnant when demand for used Wals are seemingly high especially for used newer builds..... the last couple you thought were insane didn't even last long.

I'd be curious to know what you think are non-insane prices for Wals would be.
