That's a nice one! Although the combination with the black neck is a bit odd. Never seen that with a maple body.

Since the screws are longer, will they not seat fully flat in the counter sunk holes in the plate and then stick out a bit?You can buy the screws from Paul. He even sells them on ebay.uk. You'll need a full set, the new screws are a tad longer and have deeper hex slots so they're easier to use than the old ones.

Do you have any pictures of the dog bone case, Oz?Long shot here, but does anyone have an extra Hiscox case they'd sell or trade for a dogbone? We've had a bunch of earthquakes here recently and I'm a bit paranoid![]()
You can also order one right from Hiscox and they are very reasonable price. It just won't have a Wal logo on it.Long shot here, but does anyone have an extra Hiscox case they'd sell or trade for a dogbone? We've had a bunch of earthquakes here recently and I'm a bit paranoid![]()

Oh...and dont tell them its for a Wal....They will shy away away from selling you one...and suggest you go through Wal HQ. $$$$

Thanks brother! I'm hoping to not have to order & wait for a UK shipment
I vaguely remember an interview where Mick said he had a couple of Ibanez basses, a fretted and a fretless. He would practice on the fretless and then rehearse with the fretted. Then he got the confidence to use fretless with the band and got the Travis Bean. Then the Wals came a bit later, maybe about Tin Drum? Anyway, this mightn’t be true, it’s old information. Mick is an OG player, a fantastic artist, and a definitive Wal user.I don't think he played fretted bass. At least not on any recording that I am aware of. Correct me if I am wrong.
