yes, i do notice differences - although some more subtle than others.......but then again i don't think i have any combinations that are similar.....
Mk2 natural flamed.....satin finish/mahogany core/rosewood fingerboard
Mk2 burgandy mist....gloss finish/solid ash body/ebony fingerboard
Mk3 BE greenburst....gloss finish/mahogany core/ebony fingerboard
Mk3 BE trasnred....gloss finish/mahogany core/rosewood fingerboard

Damn! That's some collection! Do you only play Wals or also other basses? I am curious on the sound difference between the MK1 and MK2 or 3. Is there much difference according to you? Sometimes I miss the 24 frets on my MK1 basses.
