Wal Bass Club.

Looks like someone’s added a load of non-Wal tracks. For example, the Ian Dury ones and all but the first track off Eric Clapton’s August album!
Hi Trevor,
I agree some thinning out needs to be done, I have included every album of which I had the slighted clue it might be "Wallish".
Have just confirmed with Laurence and removed the redundant tracks.

I was, by the way, lead to believe that bass on Ian Dury was also Wal.
Seems true on f.i. Rhythm Stick... I might be wrong though...

Thanks, interesting info. If you could specify which tracks, I'll remove them.

I don't have that info; my comment is based on my recollection of the liner notes to Each Eye A Path, and Mick's interview in Bass Player Magazine about the recording of The Tooth Mother, neither of which I have handy here. If my memory is correct the liner notes to Each Eye A Path didn't even offer any track-by-track details, just an overall "Mick Karn plays basses by Wal and Klein, and brushes his teeth with paste from Colgate and Crest" kinda note.

I thought Norman Watt-Roy used an Alembic on Hit me with your rhythm stick, but not sure, I think I saw that in a video

In the spirit of the Spotify thread here is a link to my band's latest album. This is all ProIIe to an old Peavey Vintage guitar amp and through a Revsound RS210 miced, I think, with a Sennheiser 421. Looked like a 421 anyway. The amp is a SS pre and tube power with 6L6GC's. Old but sweet. All songs are both pickups w/pick attack switch on. Tone was wide open on most of them.

The music is not "fancy" but hopefully passes muster. And it is on Spotify.

Right!
The owner is a regular over on basschat.
I remember when the current guy bought it. It had bounced around basschat and its history had already been forgotten and it was selling pretty cheaply then. And then that SFX guy popped up again and reminded everyone it was the Beggs bass. Then it became unobtanium, and I think rightfully so!

So I guess that Black Sabbath album should probably be listed too, since it was said Laurence used his Mk2 five on it, and the band didn't want his fiver in a metal video.

"Built 1997"
"played it on the 1983 No.1 hit"
Might need to correct that
ThnX, corrected that, the color and added some pics:
