Wal Bass Club.

Nice! Enjoy your first Wal ever

As I now recall those days of getting my first Wal more than two years ago (and ordering a new one just shortly after that, as I knew immediately I cannot imagine to ever be Wal-less in my days to come, so placing this" depostit was frankly just an obvious and reasonable act of wisdom), yeah seriously, it felt like nothing else before or after in 20+ years of playing bass, it really moved me! Ha ha, sounds like I am some softhearted kittycat
The truth is I still have and play other basses, which is inevitable as different genres and approaches requires specific bassolution, but if neccesary, Wal would handle (maybe tiny bit spiced up in signal-chain in some cases) any situation I can imagine. I like my other basses, but adore my Wal, it´s not just an instrument, it is a true friend who is always in good mood, compadre in cherishing life, companion who smile with you, scream with you, weep with you and lift you up when everything else let you down... Wals are bit pricey today, but they are certainly not expensive as some might say, as I thought years back too. There are no such bucks to outweight inner wealth that Wal can give you. Should I choose just one bass for life? Easy, right?

Hope your blonde beauty MKI will give you countless joyful moments!

So after being stuck waiting for paperwork since the 6th, they finally cleared the bass and it's moving this way! Hopefully shouldn't be more than a day or two!

is it the 19th yet?
ugh. It's been stuck in Louisville since the 16 - no progress. Just says that it was cleared by customs and every day the status is updated with "import scan." Every. Single. Flippin. Day. I've emailed and called UPS and to no avail. Sigh.

And the poor seller can't get his $$$ until I receive it either.

I might put this on when I get my new fretless. I kind of dig the old paddle. I’ll get it refinished if I do.

with the actual rate of the $ Great opportunity before retiring from sale about 7900$ for this ultimate WAL MK3 in France.
WAL MK3 2006 5 strings SPALTED TOP 7000£ / 8000 euros LAST PRICE DROP BEFORE RETIRING FROM SALE - Basses For Sale - Basschat
Ive never liked the looks of most Wal’s (the paddle headstock is just too goofy for me), but THIS one is spectacular looking! I didn’t know they made em that style! That spalted top is nice, and it even has a reasonable looking headstock! ;)

I can't find the sold listing, did you see that it was actually sold? One could get two Wals for what they were asking.

I looked but dont think it sold on reverb. They were selling it straight from their own site for 2 month before listing on reverb, so it probably sold direct.

I had talked with them early on because I wanted to buy it, and was willing to pay their 1st posted price the day they listed it @ £11995. They back peddled turned down my offers and decided they would ask more and said closer to £20k. After I provided them that info that the bass was only mimed with in the video and that no actual audio was recorded with it, I told them I stuck to my guns at 11995, they then told me they'd take £15k plus ship. Still too much *to me*, I certainly didnt need it.
So I hope someone got a better deal than £19500.

Too bad. They should have accepted your offer, which is more than enough. 20k is insane.
