Yes. So what if it has been used in that Band Aid video? It’s not that the bass played a major part in that song. Doesn’t make it much more valuable if you ask me.
It was only mimed with in the video. The audio track, John brought his own bass in to record it..

I'm just visiting the other side of the railroad tracks neighborhood of Talkbass. This town is out of my affordability, but just thought I'd share this. No affiliation, but it seems rare to see a real WAL under $8k these days, but I could be totally wrong, too.

That's still 11k. I don't consider that as a damn good deal. Glad I bought my Mk1 for 3900 euros two years ago. That's about the limit that I want to pay for a bass.
The Pro II is nice, reasonable price these days. Too bad about the big laquer cracks though, although not uncommon on Wals.
Let me know when you find a Mk2 for under $10,000.00 present day. As a reward, I'll take you to King's Landing.

UPS promises me that someone will call tomorrow on this. I'm at a loss. Typically UPS is good to deal with, but this has just been awful.

Was your Wal held up in Memphis Mike? I read of a couple of people in the club their Wal’s were held up in Memphis. I live in this damn city and I expect my Wal to be held up for awhile. So many inept people with attitude who don’t care about their jobs here. Customer service not so much in Memphis sad but true.

Memphis tells me everything I need to know. No work ethic or customer service
The truth, however every now and them you will get someone who will go out of their way to help and they are polite and kind. Not often but it happens.
This has me picking my brain do I have a customer, or someone I’m aquatinted with who’s high up in FedEx.
3 weeks! That sucks man! I thought 10 days was bad! At least UPS is being apologietic.

In August 2020, when I shipped my 1985’s preamp boards for servicing, they were in transit for 67 days with USPS. It was a disaster. UPS generally is far more communicative and at least call you / email you promptly when they need additional info to clear customs etc. hang in there!
