Wal Bass Club.

Let me know when you find a Mk2 for under $10,000.00 present day. As a reward, I'll take you to King's Landing.

They can be found but local, not on eBay or Reverb.
I just think it’s a bit sad that 11k is considered a great deal these days...
It’s also a big risk to pay that much money for a bass you haven’t played or seen in person. What if something wrong with it or if the electronics are incorrect or something?

Im hoping for quick outcome for ya.

In April FedEx had my bass tied up in Customs for 3 weeks! And no apology for it when I complained to everyone

So, you can't make this poopie up. I sent UPS the paperwork multiple times and they kept asking for more information. A senior person finally called me today and asked me "what kind of fish a bass guitar was and why was it wooden, was it an art piece or decoration of some sort."

I had to laugh.

You either have to laugh or burn it all down. Glad you chose to laugh.

What kind? A bottom feeder, obviously. Please tell me it's a Pete era one, it actually has a fish!

Man, I hope they can finally get your wooden art fish on its way to you now!

It occurs to me that I never heard back from Wal regarding my neck. That's a bummer. But, I have placed it in the hands of someone very capable to deal with it and I hope to share more soon.

I was trying to figure out if Wal basses could be caught in the wild. If so, I'm gonna grab my pole lol.

Oh my lord. I'm glad the customs manager at JFK played guitar and didn't tax me for the Wal import. Once he saw me walking with the case he got hyped. The joys of waiting for a world class instrument at the mercy of the un-knowledgeables is frankly terrifying.

I'm hoping they feel sorry for me and don't tax me as well. One can always hope!

It arrived! Needs cleaned and a fresh battery, but man that tone!

Just wanted to share my experience with Wal CS.

Had a problem with faulty pot on my 92 MK1 - decided to send both electronics boards to Paul at Wal.

Sent out on 6.9. and today they are back! (Incl duties procedure since I am EU and damned brexit..) so less then one month and voila, all great - they not did only pot exchange, but also greased the others, changed some caps etc.. might be placebo but I have a feeling bass is now sounding 100% better!

And two pics related.. of course.

And with her Brooklyn sister:

After a few weeks of having my preamp boards + 1/4th input & XLR socket with Paul at Wal HQ, he wasn't able to figure out the mysterious preamp shorting out issue I was encountering. As a result, Paul sent me brand new preamp boards to hopefully isolate / fix this problem. Paul shipped out yesterday via FedEx and they arrived in the Midwest this morning which was absolutely crazy! Hoping this is the ticket...
