The four trim pots came out in 86, meant more for the low B to trim the boominess, but the 4 stringers got them too. Before 86 they only had two trims.

My Pro doesn't have any insets to screw in to. In shop for major overhaul but should be done this year. Will retain "Custom" on the paddle headstock.
They are ready , after almost 18 months !

How many trim pots does it have on the inside of the cavity?
My Pro is very much a parts bass. ProIIe electronics (no trim), but rear-loaded, no pick guard , Custom on the paddle and z JG serial number.
Started life as clear finish fret less then I had fretted and trams-white finish put on in 80's. going fret less again with a blue-burst finish. Should be interesting

You'll call me crazy ! But I'm a Wal maniac ! After sold 2 Foderas and 2 70's Jazz basses I bought 3 new Wals. 2 was custom made by Paul (see other thread) and now I just bought this amazing MKI 1985 !

My band's (Jota Quest) new album from Sony Music bass recording session, using my MKII. It's a Soul Tune " A LA" Marvin Gaye , this is a little melodic bass lick at the end of the tune ! I hope you like it ! Audio is from Iphone, not so good !

I am on a search for a mk2 or mk3 4 string. I have a 1983 Fodera monarch elite as a trade. If anyone is interested, please pm me. The only requirements that I have is that it can support light gauge strings, sport really low action and have a fully functioning truss rod.
