I think the idea was that Mk I's are selling between $4k -$4.8k on average and Mk II selling between $4.8k - $5.5k. As a new build they are pretty much close in price as he pointed out, so i'm thinking that's what Jim meant, no?![]()
Interesting!.....i always assumed that both!
So yea, one would def have a higher resale value using the same woods
If your on the fence J.K i would pick the MKII![]()
Holy Shyte! Bass42![]()
(haven't asked a quote for an Mk 1 but if i recall its £3650 as well)
4 string Mk 2 starts at £3650
4 string Mk 3 starts at £3850
Strange, I was told the MkI base price is £3650, while both the MkII and MkIII 4 string base price is £3850.

Looks great but you should never lean a Wal against a dumpster

only five?? do you still have the two in the right??
Zentner said:Can anyone shed any light as to whether the old Pro basses had the typical Wal backplate screws or not?
The only other guy I've seen with one is a fellow named Dave in Vancouver, but I'm not sure he hangs around here much.
Zentner said:I was also sure that the backplate screws were unoriginal.... so much so that I bought a full set and they won't fit unless i drill out the holes- have a look! Seems I was wrong, unless someone has a better explanation.

Right, you would have to drill out the holes and press in the brass inserts.
If you decide you don't want your screws and inserts let me know.
Looking at that last pic, it seems someone replaced the preamp too...it appears yours now has the four trim pots in the rear.
