Where on their website did they suggest or even hint that their wares were ever intended for novices? or hobbyists? It's not on them to preface every order with the question "do you know how to build guitars?"
Lutherie and even plain-jane guitar assembly have always required at least a modicum of knowledge and skill and ability, some would suggest much more. I'm one of them, and I'm a casual builder. Alright... when a beginner's new kit-build plays like crap because they flat-out assembled it poorly or set it up wrong if at all, is Warmoth also to be lambasted for that? For not providing step by step direction to the fitment of their parts past general neck goes here, add screws? You can buy ready-made guitars if you haven't a clue. The more adventurous ask questions, and learn and don't make assumptions, be it for fit or finish(ing).
Tho not germane to this topic, how about wiring? Installing hardware? Is that on them too? They resell pickups but don't tell you how to solder. WHAT THEN?
I think the op was frustrated he didn't get what he wanted. Why do you guys continue to feel the need to bash him or make him sound like an idiot. Did you come out of the womb with an expansive knowledge of all things?..hell no ,but you sound like it...You had to learn as well...quit being a jerk
