Warmoth Owners Club!!

What all did you guys have to do to the necks when you got them? I just ordered all the parts I need to put one of these together (I think I got them all anyway), and I gather the frets need leveled and crowned at least.

I ordered a P-bass bubinga neck with a pau ferro fretboard, unfinished.

Newly constructed Warmoth Jazz PJ eager to join the club.

I ordered my Warmoth in pieces, couldn't decide on a neck without more reading so I ordered the body seperate. I bought misc parts from different places and actually forgot to order a few so they ended up on seperate orders too..

Its like someone has kidnapped my future bass (one that I think I'm going to enjoy alot too) and is sending it to me piece by piece as torture...

After going through this whole thread, I'm finding it painful to wait!

I have seen black bursts. I know if you call them they will do it. Give them what you want and go from there. They are great to work with.. Especially when you have something that they tell you they don't do, but you got it from them...
Sorry to step aside like that.
Anyway, I am sure they do black burst.

What kind of wood??? What is the neck wood? I like the natural with the Pearloid guard.. Almost makes it look like it was stripped of the old paint and just kept nautral.

Thats a Mahogany body with the satin clear finish (which is just stunning), the neck is bubinga with a pau ferro fretboard. But I might order a second neck with a maple fretboard eventually.

Sure would like to see it. I have been wanting just that configuration. Could you post pics?
Sure can! I went with the 5A quilt upgrade. The side shot shows some of the red running throught the Mahogany - really nice! The neck is all Macassar ebony. Loaded with a Fralin P, SD Custom Shop MM and an Aguilar OBP-3 @18v.

I love Warmoths. I have 2 others and am going to order another next week.:D

man o man, if that thing was trans blue, I would be in love. Nice quilt on that one. If I get it together, I will be getting a carved top dinky. `Warmoths are great. My band thinks I have about 15 basses, but really I only have many different parts and change configurations often. Sweet bass you have there.
