I'd say no. Not with a microtilt style neck pocket.

Hey guys, i have a quick question for anyone in the know with gecko necks. Can you choose what wood is used for those 2 strips on the back of the neck or does it have to be bubinga or purpleheart like the neck details section says? I want to get a wenge neck with ebony fingerboard but bubinga or purpleheart would just look out of place on the back.

Also, do warmoths side dots normally look like the picture below or are they actual round dots?

Neck blanks are made in batches and bubinga and purpleheart are the standard stringer woods. You can email sales and see if anything else has been made up, but it would be rare. Remember that unfinished bubinga and purpleheart will oxidize and darken over time. (Your finger grease will also darken the woods.)

Those are the standard side dots for Gecko necks.

Is there any chance that someone out there is using a hipshot A style bridge with through body? If so could you post up or pm me some pics of the bridge area?

Psshhh, my question isnt really as serious as his so calling wasnt that big of a deal. If i cant get my answers here then ill call.

Here is my Warmoth 2008 build. Mahogany chambered body with canary top, high gloss finish. Birdseyemaple neck with ziricote fretboard and satin finish. Bartollini humcancelling splitcoil pick-ups with Bartollini 3 band preamp, clear pickguard. Shaller golden machineheads, gotoh bridge. And it's relativly light one, only 4 kg! The picture of the fretboard is not so good thou the ziricote is insane!

Sounds as good as it looks!

Notice how in the last two pictures the top looks different!It's the same lightin' and all it's just
that canaray looks different from different angles.

Tru-oil satin finished chambered black korina body with black pinstripe, raw bubinga C profile jazz neck (tru-oiled headstock) with 6150 frets, black Gotoh 201 bridge, Schaller tuners, and Hipshot 3 string retainer, Delano JMVC 4 FE/M2 split coil jazz pickups & Delano Sonar 3 pre (wired passive when pic was taken). I made the control plate out of 1/8" bubinga.

Setup Drop C, this thing sounds MASSIVE...deep thundering lows, punchy mids, crisp snappy highs. With the chambered body and heavy bubinga neck I was a little worried about neck dive, but it balances perfectly. I love this thing.
