Warmoth Owners Club!!

Hey everyone! I'm on the market for a new bass, and as always I would like to know all my options...

And I was wondering, since I'm on the less than 900 USD budget , if it would be possible to buy a different bass and swapping the body/neck (ie squier)

And if any of you have had experiences with the people to clear burst finish

I did just that , with the help of line6man's diagram and a few informative emails from him I wired it in last night and threw down a quick test track , check it out :)

I just pulled the trigger on one of the quartersawn teak/ebony unlined fretless necks in the showcase. What kind of maintenance is it going to need? I don't want to finish it, that's why I ordered the teak, but if it needs to be oiled or waxed occasionally, I'd like to know what's recommended and how often.

Feedback appreciated.

Nice. I've been watching some of those Teak necks for a while. For maintenance of most raw exotic woods, I recommend a *very small amount* of lemon oil, once every year or so. Put a few drops on a clean cloth, and rub it like crazy. You don't need much, and if you play it regularly, your skin will provide most of the oil that the wood needs.

no, that would be a serious no-no for Warmoth to offer Fender decals to put on their replacement necks. Those fake Fender decals were purchased from 3rd parties on the web most probably.

Hey guys !

I've received my Warmoth parts today, very good quality stuff ! I should get it assembled by my luthier next week.

Two things though. I've ordered two pickguards for the bass (directly at Warmoth, along with the order), one black and one white pearloid. The preamp is an Audere JZ3.

When I try to make them fit, there's a gap between the "top" of the electronic plate and the pickguard. As if the pickguard was cut too "wide". Same problem on both pickguards !

It's quite disappointing... What can I do? Ask for replacement pickguards? Or is it the Audere plate?


And also, it seems that the bridge hole (A style Hipshot) are somehow misaligned. When I try to see if it fits, the center hole is ok but the two others look misaligned. Weird. I carefully ordered eveything at the right dimensions.
