Warmoth Suggestions!

Okay guys.. my fretless addiction has offiicially kicked in, and I want to make another fretless. My first fretless was recently completed which many of you know and is a '82 Squier P bass with a Mike Dolan neck.. I love this bass to death, and wont let it pry out of my dead hands! :D

Okay, but what I need help with is ideas for a new fretless. Im getting a Warmoth neck on trade with an unlined fretless rosewood board and maple neck, black Schaller tuners.

I plan on doing full black hardware.

RULES!
1. Cant be just simple P bass. I love mine to death, but I want something a bit different. Can be any body style, ANY, just not a simple P bass with a P route. P bodies are fair game, but they need to be routed specially or something.
2. Must come from the Showcase! Im using the 20% off deal to get it, so thats a BIG deal.
3. It cant be too expensive.. My parents are loaning me the cash so I can take advantage of this awesome deal, but I still have to pay em back. I make money gigging and such and with Christmas and my birthday coming up, Ill have some cash to pay it off.
4. I am not into metal-ish things, like an all black bass that screams Metallica. I pay funk, jazz, and rock. I need it to be tasteful.

Honestly, the possibilities are endless! I have a few good ideas on mind, but Im open to all suggestions. The most I can do is politely say no. ;)

And on the "losing value" thing.. I dont care, honestly. I want this to be the perfect brother to my P, and seeing Im practically getting the neck and tuners for free on a trade I wont be losing much.

Thanks TB!

PJ Thunderbird fretless.. Im just worried about finish.

wow dang.. i just ordered a black korina t-bird body from warmoth and had it routed for a single music man alnico pup. gonna match it with a jazz neck with some wicked inlays..... its gonna take real discipline to take my time and assembly it to perfection !!!!!
may add a stap button extension for balance..

Oil it as well and it would be amazing. I used to have a Gecko 6 with a black korina body and a quilted walnut top that I used danish oil on and it looked absolutely stellar. And the korina is really durable even with only oil and wax.

I was thinking, a bass with basswood body and a decent top will be the same cost as a showcase body.

Im really lost.. I dunno what to get! Im gonna think about it for a lil while, but keep the suggestions coming! It helps!

And Dark, I saw that and almost chose it, but I just cant think that Ill be able to like an Explorer too long.. I think Im too traditional, like an old fart! :D

i'd say either a mahogany jbass body or a mahogany t-bird body with the raised center w/ a pbass pickup in the middle and a riogrande powerbucker in the bridge wired with a coil tap. I'd think that'd be a killer setup. Probably would weigh a ton, though. Couple that with wenge neck w/ ebony unlined fretboard.

Hahaha, I get ya, and I expected as much, but still, couldn't help but throw it out there.

A T-Bird, or a Custom T would be cool, to stand out from your P basses a bit.
