Warning: Do not buy a Fender Rumble 350

So if I normally play at 5 and put these in, I would probably still play at 5 if they are 4 DB more sensitive?
More like 2.5 all else being somewhat equal, which it never is. More sensitivity means less power is used to get the volume.
But every speaker has a limit to how far it can move which is the determinant of volume, if the power is there to push it that far, which it nearly always is.

Hey, he came on here to give us all a warning. That is: Do Not Buy a Fender Rumble 350!
I'm so glad I took his warning seriously; otherwise my house could have caught fire. Or, I may have been eaten by cannibals.
I got a Fender Rumble 150 and haven't had any problems. But then, I'm pretty... under-educated in terms of amps and electronic circuits. I'll talk keys, scales/modes, chords & progs, rhythms, etc. til I'm blue in the face, but I don't really know what's going on under the hood of my combo.
Usually, I go with "Don't crank things too much either way." A little more here, a little less there, and you should be good. If not, I'd think something in the chain isn't suited for you - bass/amp/cab is naturally too dark/bright/punchy, etc.
But also, don't take 1 or even several reps word as the final answer. Keep calling, e-mailing, snail mailing, showing up at their door step, angry and demanding justice. Go on every forum, every internet store, every local store you pass by, and tell them how crappy this or that company is, AND SEND THAT COMPANY E-MAIL COPIES OF WHAT YOU'VE BEEN SAYING, AND RESPONSES YOU'VE BEEN GETTING. They'll give. Or sue you for slander/liable. Ha. But I don't think any company wants that kind of PR these days.

Sounds like the speakers are underpowered and there's no speaker out. I'm wondering, even though they're budget, how much more would it cost at the factory to upgrade the speakers a little to make them more bulletproof? How much more would it cost to drop in a second wire and 1/4" out jack?
Also I haven't seen that many posts of players complaining about their Fender Rumbles. May not get lots of compliments on tone but not many complaints on speaker failures.
I like to bring the plain-jane girl next store: Peavey. I've owned them for years and they can take massive abuse. The older and heavier the better. Abuse them and they slip on your toe and leave scars lol.... and then play all night at 11....
I agree with posters here who said he came by once to whine and he's never been back to defend himself. He could have at least responded with how he set his amp, active/passive bass, style of music/size of band etc.

I bought one last week for my church to replace an Ampeg B300 combo. It is so much better and I paid $399 for it.
It's not my Bassman 100T - nor even a reasonable impresonator of it, but it does the job and sounds fine as long as it doesn't get too loud.

Rumbles are not fantastic, but they are good. That is their niche. You could give me anyone of them and I would not complain.

Actually I've been looking at the Rumble series along with a couple other brands, for a low end practice amp. What do they compare to? I live in Alaska so I don't have a chance to try one out. Could I take a Rumble 75 or 150 to a fairly moderate jam session in a medium room? I'm looking for something just to throw in the Toyota at short notice and roll in to a jam session.
The one I played did nicely for a room with 120 folks in it. More than that, you'd get a bit raggedy. At least at the volume I like to play!!
I personally think these are extremely underrated. I play in a cover band that plays all types of venues and music. I found that I love that they are little tanks that are very well built I also love the tone and volume is plenty. I've never had mine up past 12 o'clock. I have noticed one thing. The low notes sometimes sounded alittle weak. My solution, I bought another one. Wow. I'm very blown away. I love the versatility,size,sound,volume and the overall look of these things stacked on top of each other. Looks like a mini stack but is so nice to transport and set up. I use a boss me 30 and run one off the left output and one off the right. Both are set flat and so is the eq on my pedal. I play a MIA jazz with both pickups all the way on but blended towards the bridge pickup and it is strung with daggerios (spelling) flat wounds. I have a gk 810 with a Ampeg pro 3 but they well never leave the basement again until they are sold. Honestly. It doesn't even come close to my two 350s. So different stokes for different folks but I would just like to point out that you never see them for sale, because anyone who owns one knows they are great combo amps. Next time you are in a store ask them if you can hook up two together,lol. They will look at you funny but you will be blown away. Just my two cents. I will post pictures of my rig once I renew my membership. Lol.

This thread is about the Rumble 350. Those little ones might not be so band capable. Enough people call the 350 a glorified practice amp as it is! It is pretty throwable.
