Nope. The X55J's are single coil. The Bart XJ55's are dual coil
Nope. The X55J's are single coil.
However...
That said, there's also the X55C series, which is sold in both single and split coil, and I THINK those are the ones JD actually uses... the split coils.
The confusing part is the Bart website uses some confusing terminology. It says "in-line hum canceling dual coils". That's actually a split coil design by more current and accurate terminology. And it does matter, because dual coils are typified by both coils covering all strings and are usually "dual sensing". Split coils are "single sensing" and only have one coil of coverage per string, which makes them sound even more like a single coil (which I like). They do, however have the artifact of imperfect hum cancelling on basses with odd string numbers tho.
Anyway, FWIW.
Missing your point? That's what I was talking about.Invalid Link Removed

Seymore Duncan Basslines pickups with the 3 band tone circuits EQ system with a slap contour push-pull switch.
this one was handmade by yours truly. and its as nice a piece as ever was built. it also comes with an original Planet P. Warrior gig bag in Blue.
I also happen to have photos of Victor Wooten playing this bass at the 1995 Summer NAMM. I can include it if you wish.
and to any mods. this instrument is NOT mine.
I'm only alerting other Warrior lovers to its pending salability. I could simply put the stores name down here, but if I do, then any rush of calls about it, will drive the price up, i know the owner very well and I'll be happy to do whatever i can to help.
I'd like to see my baby go to a good home. this one was truly one of my best.
Bruce, I didn't realize you were on here. You've done some work on my P-Bass some years back. You do some great work. Sent you a PM to ask about the bass.
