Heres my recently acquired 2004 Signature Bolt On 5. Birds Eye Maple Fretboard, 3 piece Maple/Purple Heart Neck, Tiger Quilt Maple Top and Swamp Ash Body. Super stoked about owning this bass. Glad to be a part of the Warrior Family :)

Bittersweet/Sad Day... my '97 Warrior has been passed on to my son's girlfriend (cash was involved, I'm not that sentimental).
This bass plays like a dream, but hasn't gotten nearly enough playing time in the last 3, or more, years. I threw in the Moody strap I had made for it, and I'll be able to visit.

Basswood Body, Purple Heart top and fingerboard - 'anointed oil' finish.
Mahogany/Purple Heart/Mahogany bolt on neck - thin profile, 1-5/8 nut with an 'anointed' oil finish.
Updated Bartolini pickups, Warrior NTMB electronics MM pup coil switch and wood knobs when it was in for Warrior Care (2009). Recently gone over by a local guitar tech and loaded with Sadowsky Blue Nickels. I'll miss this baby!

Just went into Guitar Center in Cincinnati yesterday, and they have a pretty nice Warrior 5 that was a 2011 NAMM piece. It's got a pretty cool "whitewash" finish on it. Plays great, sounds great. Just FYI.

I also played that one last Saturday. It was pretty awesome, though I did not like the pearloid pickup covers, they were a bit much for me.

Yeah, they were unnecessary, and just kind of plopped on top of the pickups. I'm guessing they would come off fairly easily.

On a side note, I played the 4 string Ibanez with the Nordstrand Big Singles, and was blown away. I hadn't played any Nordy pickups yet. They were very nice.

Oddly, Dayton has a DM Signature 2015, I believe, that they just got in ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed]) . Plus they have a Warrior guitar. I played the bass and it solidifies my thought that I have to have a Warrior! I love the thin, flat necks and it was effortless to play (both that I have played have been effortless). They also sound incredible!

Mine is a Neck Through 4 with the MM/J pickups. I'm just not a 5 string guy. I have had mine since 2005, and it is incredible. It seriously cured my desire to acquire basses.

All the one's I have played have the same profile. I don't know that I would compare them to Ibanez, but I haven't played a ton of Ibanez basses lately.

Back from the Warrior care program. I can't believe how they made a used bass play and look like brand new. I got the new preamp and the neck refinished. They did a great job. I recommend them highly. The new preamp sounds great.

Here are photos of my Warrior Isabella 6 String Bass. It has Bartolini pickups and the full Mike Pope preamp onboard. This is the smoothest, fastest neck I have ever had the pleasure of performing on. It sounds beautiful and I cannot say enough great things about the Pope preamp. The Pope preamp offers so much more tonal control right under your fingertips. I bought this bass used. The body and neck were and are in excellent condition ... like new. The electronics however were a bit of a mess. A previous owner, who I am told was someone famous, though I do not know who he was, made a mess of things. A number of the knobs and toggles were not functioning and very good, but non-original pickups were installed. I had to restore the bass electronically to what Dran had basically created in the beginning. I also replaced the stock hardware with a Gold Hipshot A style bridge (ordered from Dran himself) and a set of gold Gotoh tuners, and gold control knobs. If anyone out there recognizes this bass and knows the history of it, I would love to know who the previous owner(s) was / were. It took me many weeks and cost a lot of money to get the bass up to this level but it was worth it. Warrior basses are fantastic.

I have only played the Dran Michael and Isabella models. I own a Warrior Isabella 6 String. I also own a few 6 string Ibanez BTB premium models, ..... BTB 1406E fretless 6 string, BTB1606E fretted 6 string and BTB7. I can say certainly, that the Warrior basses that I have played have a very similar neck profile to the Ibanez BTB line. I think Ibanez, when designing the BTBs, (Boutique Basses), were going for a Warrioresque and MTDish feel. Ibanez BTB premium line basses are a terrific value for the money, maybe the best overall value available for the money in my opinion. But, I can also say as an owner of both, that My Warrior Isabella is far superior. Although Warrior Isabellas are also 4 to 5 times the price as an Ibanez BTB1606E Premium Bass.
