Plenty of time. Over 4 days left, and yeah, it has a reserve. Anyway, just check tonight from home and do what you want. Good luck! :)

that's the bass I was going to get. i guess the guy that bought it bought it to sell it. what a bummer!!

I am not paying over 1K for this one as he wants. i was going to pay below that price and it seems rude people just buy stuff to sell them again like this case. I am sorry i am just mad and frustrated about this whole thing.:bawl:

Oh well, some people just like to flip basses for money. Don't take it personally though, because I'm sure it's not. He's just an opportunist like lots of people.

JUST GOT THIS IN TODAY.

hey just wanted to share that I emailed that seller at ebay about his reserve and also if he was the first owner and here is his response:

"I am the original owner and have had the bass since 2004. The reserve is 1100.00 . Although we have moved since the purchase, and I can't loctate where I put all the paper work that came with the bass."

funny huh? that tells me a lot from his deals claiming to be the original owner of a custom bass that he just got less than 1 week ago claiming he has had it for the last 4 years... :rollno:

Wow...that is a REALLY old one. I cannot see the serial number at the base of the fretboard but this is a 1996 or 1997 model. They have not used the Gotoh bridge since '97 or so. IMHO, some of the early models were actually better than some of of the newer ones. Enjoy it!

just wanted to clarify that the original owner of the Warrior (whom I was going to trade his bass for mine) confirmed the name of the guy at ebay and who claims he is the original owner of the bass.

Even if this is at a good price I will not buy the bass from him because of his lies.

I sent him the same question. It will be interesting to see if he continues to lie. So far he's listed two other questions, but not the one about ownership.

yes he sent me that one via email. I do not know if I am allowed to say his name but the guy that sold it to me told me that he traded a marcus Miller plus cash for the Warrior and confirmed the name. Since both of them live in the same city I know this is not another white Warrior bass.

due to this even if the price is right i would not buy from him. I know that if I win it he will charge me shipping when I could meet him and get it because he will be trying to make money off that one too.

That IS bad. I'm not sure it's worth pursuing, probably not, but my curiosity of what he'd say if I told him I knew otherwise might be compelling. :)

I did ask him if this was the same bass he bought about 1 week ago from the original owner and asked him if he was indeed the original owner.... of course has not responded to that response email I sent him. As far as I know there is nothing i can do with ebay for making false claims such as this but just wanted to give the club members a heads up in case anybody is trying to buy from him. BEWARE

Correct, trying to take this up with ebay won't yield any useful results.

I suspect that by now he's figured out that he's busted on the lie. It is always a mystery to me why people lie about things that don't even matter. Who cares how long he's owned it, or even if he owned it. I got a great Gibson Victory bass from a guy who handles transactions for other people. There was a problem with the deal and he took care of it much better than I suspect the owner would have because this is his business.

Same here. "I just got this bass in, I'm an ebay dealer and I sell many fine instruments. This is one of them. Hope you like it, it's in great condition" That would affect the price? If anything it tells me the guy has his livelihood tied up in his Internet reputation and will need to maintain it better than some guy who has one item to dump. What an idiot.

agree to that. I wish one could post about his lies anywhere on ebay but there is nothing like that.

+1

However, I suspect he figures it DOES matter, because he assumes that would raise a bidder's comfort level, but in the end, even if it did, I personally don't think it'd amount to much, if anything.

For good reason, too. Yeah, there are some cases where that would potentially be helpful, but opening that kind of pandora's box on ebay would be way too subject to abuse, defeating its usefulness by a large margin.

That's pretty shady claiming to be the original owner. I made a mistake when selling a bass once on ebay. I thought I was the second owner, but it turns out I was like the fourth owner. The original owner contacted me about it and I corrected it. I was simply in the dark about it, but this guy is flat out lying. :scowl:

No Good.

(that is a bad bass, though) :D
