he responded to my email stating that this is a different bass but the guy that sold it to me gave me name, description and all the pics match on a custom bass with same specs, age, color and all from another on in the sma ecity... c'mon man this is not a Mexican Fender P-Bass, a Squier or an Ibanez bass that is owned all over the place by almost everybody.

of course.. lies.

I am letting this one go. I did ask him about the place and receipt of the store he got it from... let's see what lies he will say now about not having them.

I love it!

Yeah, right, different bass, with the exact same wood figuring on the head stock? Man, woodgrain is like a fingerprint. Dang, that guy is totally lying.

Check it out... the light streak at the G string tuner... there's NO f'n way these are two different basses... no f'n way. :mad:

The first one is from the post here, and the second one is from the ebay auction. This is clearly the same bass.

this was his last response after I asked him why he is telling lies and here is his response:
"Listen,what difference does it make. It's my bass,and you can bid if you want or not. I don't have time to play these little games."

I am not biddin on it and the bass is in the 500's now. he is having a reserve of $1100 I hope he does not get that reserve met to learn a lesson.

This part is ironic because none of this would've happened if he'd just been honest. It was HE who wanted to play "these little games." :rollno:

I sent him a last email with both picturs of the tuner with the streak proving him wrong. I told himI would have bought it now or met the reserve by now but because o his lack of honesty I will not buy the bass from him and go with an honest seller. I told him that if he had said from the get go he was a buyer and seller of instruments I would have gotten it from him already but because he lied I will not even touch his bid history.

hope I will someday get a Warrior and be a part of this club.

Epitaph on the white bass...

Got bid up to $1000 on the original auction (see item 170249473277), but he must have had a shiller working for him, because it didn't sell for that. It sold for only $800 in the relisting (see item 170252185625), which had a BIN of only $850, so I'm guessing the highest GENUINE bid in the original auction was $800 so he took it in the relist. Otherwise, if the $1000 bid in the first auction was genuine, why would you relist it with a BIN of $150 less? Why even relist? Just do a second chance offer and take the $1000 bidder up on it. The only truly plausible answer is, he had a shiller trying to bid people up for him.

So after shipping and fees, he net'd probably between $700-$750. Sheesh.

This guy is a real class act.... not.... :rollno:

I hope he lost money on it, and at that price, he probably did.

trujo777, you might find some solace in this. :)

Yes, this is very confusing and the logical explanation is that he did indeed have a shill pumping his price. That is, in fact, a no-no on ebay and it should be reported along with his deceitful responses.

Yes, and maybe my post was confusing, but here's what I derived from it all.
  • His original item ended unsold, reserve not met, highest bid was $1000.
  • He relisted it with a "by it now" for only 850, and sold it for the "best offer "of 800.
  • He must have had a shill pumping his price, otherwise he wouldn't have to list it, and it would've sold for 1000, not 800.

Bottom line, the guy is a dishonest creep. If I had more free time to fret over this stuff, I'd very seriously consider reporting him to ebay if I could collect enough evidence to make it worthwhile.

Say, for some reason my Warrior is not as loud when I have the pan set on the middle detent than when i have it full on with either bridge, or neck pickup. Doesn't matter whether it's active, or passive. Anyone else's do that? I'm also wondering if there's not an adjustment t0 boost the gain in the pre-amp as there is in my Lakland.

That is a pretty standard problem with basses that have a blend pot vs using 2 volume knobs. You will see it to varying degrees depending on the pots used, pickups, preamp etc. It is a much easier setup to work with as a player but not without it's drawbacks.
