Warwick Fortress Footmen, unite!

Just picked up a used one at Sam ash. Pretty sure it's made in China - it's a rockbass version. Hoping I didn't overpay. It's seen some action but it's overall in nice shape no dents or major dings. What does he serial # tell me? I'll post a pic later ... No pics no bass.

Nice Masterman!
I have an issue with this one. Should the active button "pull"? I can just push this one. I notice no difference in the tone when it's pushed. Also, when I re-strung it, the AdjustANut is not attached to the neck? I don't see where it was glued. The Warwick manual is really no help. The show the nut all by itself, but is that what it's supposed to be? Forgive me if these are 'newbie' type questions, but it is new to me...

Thanks,
S33

Hey fellow footmen. Just thought I would give the heads up that I am selling my F1. It's the passive model with p/j pickups and individual tone controls. Also has a maple body with some Birdseye figuring.

Great bass in great shape. The link is in my signature below if you are interested. Would consider trades for 5 string Warwicks.

Thanks!

Hi guys! I was wondering if I could join the group? I just got my first Warwick Fortress Masterman 5 string, and man am I ever impressed!!

I recently let my 1995 Warwick Thumb NT5 go, which I loved. My problem with the thumb was I could never get past the thick neck profile and the insane neck dive!

This Masterman is such a pleasure to play! The neck profile is perfect, and the bass is so perfectly balanced! The twin J pickup with the individual bass and treble pots makes this bass insanely versatile and has endless possibilities!

It's a 1999 model in nirvana black transparent satin finish with a flamed maple body, gold hardware, Wenge fretboard, and Ovangkol neck. If I'm not mistaken it would have been one of the last ones produced before Warwick discontinued the German made Fortress line.

Anyway I would sure love to have a spot on here as a proud Fortress owner!
