Anyone seen this crazy finish on a fortress mm5 somewhere? The original finish was the trans teal shown in the other attached pic, but i had a local (colorado springs) dude refinish the body and this is the only pic i think i have of it post finish. It's long since sold, the pic is from 2010.

I've been eyeballing some fortresses or looking for a streamer pro-m lately. I think there's still one with 'two' TJ pups on the bay, but haven't looked in a couple weeks.

Cool refinish! I have not seen it, but I hope you manage to track it down.

That dual TJ Fortress has been listed since June 2024 (every couple weeks when it doesn't sell a new listing is made). It's not moving because the price is considerably out-of-touch with the secondhand Fortress market. Around a year ago I communicated with the seller and made what I believed to be a fair offer based by recent market evidence. Seller wouldn't budge and justified the price with some unfounded macroeconomic ideas

The limited this year is a neck-thru fortress! I am secretly hoping they will be up for making another one in the custom shop…. I am GAS-ing hard for a five string with dual twin-J pickups:

I'm normally not one for block inlays, but the way these contrast with the flamed maple fingerboard is really nice. Together with the matching headstock and tuning keys, they tie the whole aesthetic together.
