Warwick Hellborg Signature

Anyone knows if the last record was recorded with this bass? or is the bass newer ???

Given that he had the prototype when the album was made and it turned up at the sessions, I'd say it certainly made an appearance at times. I mean, if you listen to the Bombay Street performance gig on Youtube where they play the Aga Of The ladies, he gets a tone pretty similar to Kali's Son.

That said, I do like what Jonas is doing these days, but Mattias is another story. Just compare his version of Aga Of The Ladies to Shawn's version. Matt completely lacks the confidence, feel and soul that Shawn brought to the piece. When he plays it, he is all over the place and sounds waaaaay too harsh.

Eh, I guess we only get one Shawn Lane. :(

Hellborg has been seen to play this bass over the past 2yrs or so. So I guess that he has used this bass for "Art Metal" (fantastic cd by the way). I am still looking for the DR UFO strings (his signature set) but they are nowhere

I'm not sure if they have been released yet, though I have seen the adverts for them in BP magazine. I love the sound of Jonas's Warwick bass, but sometimes I wish he'd record a few more tracks with his Wal doubleneck or his Status Hellborg bass!
