I know no-one will like this or even listen to it, but a modern progressive metal band called Periphery is undoubtedly the tightest band ever. No-one will ever come close to them.



That is their soundcheck. The complexity of the song, and the fact that they have three guitar players, all playing different things, with interlocking rhythms, and a bass player who matches them...well, I defy you to find anything tighter

I'm gonna go with Oingo Boingo. John Avila and John Hernandez were a machine, and the arrangements were incredibly complex, with all 10 members having very specific parts.

Four Play is also as tight as it gets.

And I've heard plenty of people say that King's X was the absolute tightest live show they'd ever witnessed.
