But, to return to the OP... Being associated with Nazism for not agreeing with whatever group's opinion seems deeply bigoted in itself.

Simply sitting on the fence on an Internet forum is hardly comparable to Nazi atrocities, and using the slur in this context trivialises the experience those who actually suffered under Hitler.

Can't they just call it a red peel potato and avoid the mess? Or put a space in between red and skinned? The potato doesn't have a whole native American imagery behind it either. It's just a red skinned potato like a gold skinned Yukon.

Exactly. George and Martha Washington were the very first president and first lady of this great country. To associate the great Washington name with a stitched piece of leather thrown and kicked around for amusement is offensive to Americans everywhere.

I am more offended with it being associated with the other Washington - the place with the Oval Office.

Mammoths - state fossil
Dragonfly - state insect
Orca - state sea mammal
Tartan - state cloth pattern
Hemlocks - state tree
Walla Wallas(onions) - state vegetable
Apples - state fruit

Their state gem is Petrified wood. Somehow the thought of petrified jewels and wood is disturbing.

I'd go with Steelheads - sound kind of bad-ass.
