I almost took a job in Mason county, but my wife was in grad school in Seattle at the time and worried about the ferry commute and finding a job after she graduated. So, I turned it down and really regret it right now :(

Instead I took a job down in Texas where her and I both have great jobs but really miss Washington. Mason county is beautiful.

I like it. It's close enough to work for us (Me - PSNS, wife - Harrison Hospital), but far enough where we could get an acre with a home for less than a 3 bed condo in Bremerton when we bought it. I grew up in the Bay Area, so I got REAL tired of the urban life, now when I get home, I can hear crickets, dogs, real life instead of cars. It's really nice.

I'm playing a gig at the Manette in Bremerton Saturday if any of you Kitsap folks are looking for something to do! It'd be cool to meet some new local bassists.

I'll try to go - problem is I'm having surgery for torn meniscus on Monday, and standing/walking lately is kind of an issue...maybe next time you're playing this side of the water?

Oooh that's no fun. Well if you are feeling up to it that's cool, if not I totally understand. My main band is based out of Seattle but I actually live in Poulsbo so I play over here fairly often.
