Very nice! Loved the syncopation and how you kept the beat going on the low E during times you weren't playing up the neck.

I may have to try that comboYou guys are so cool! Really!
Thanks for so much love! ;-)
I really love my Squier bass, and these old TI flats, they are just a perfect match on this bass!
The TI flats are the best strings I´ve ever played, no doubt!I may have to try that combo
...CV '60s P-Bass, all stock (except for the bass mute by Ellio Martina, attached in front of the bridge), and strung with old Thomastik Jazz flats.
This video also features the Gemini Chorus by Source Audio, with a very subtle setting.
It just fattens up everything a touch, but due to its "LO-RETAIN" feature, the fat bottom stays unprocessed!
Thanks a lot for watching, stay safe & enjoy yourselves!
As always, PLEASE watch in HD, using HQ speakers or headphones:
That's less than a set of TIs and the Gemini Chorus would cost brand new.I paid $200 for it, used, and I love it for $20,000, at least! ;-)
Exactly...Just another fine example that you don't need a 2000 dollar bass to sound like one..

Yeah, I know, I tend to slap a bit too much in these videos. But then again, it's nothing pre planned usually, but rather improvised. Something, based on an idea I got during my daily practice routine. ;-)I'd ditch that slap intro - otherwise, very cool.

And this spontaneous and fesh energy might be something that's characteristic for these quick videos... ;-)
Thanks for stopping by and commenting!
;-)I don't like slap so I always say ditch-the-slap.
;-)
You know, being blessed to make a living out of my playing, my slap technique is something I use maybe 1-2% of my (live and studio) playing time. ;-)
So my videos are a bit like a playground for me, a rez for the thumb!![]()
Yes, I am the same which is why I think I don't like it. 99% of slap seems to be for aesthetics, which annoys me.
I have never even learnt slap because it seems to have minimal use for my band (I am a quasi beginner).
;-)OMG I loved those videos but didn't know you were the magician behind those!
