Wearing a mask, yes or no.

Yes, absolutely yes.

I got this great idea I'd drive down to San Jose and rent a lift for $30 and wrench on my gfs car. Take care of some biz on the way back. I crossthread the line to her master cylinder. I can't get a die and tap bc of course the crap shop doesn't have one. They don't have a flaring kit, bending let, or m10 ends you'd use for brakes and clutches.

I end up walking thru San Jose to get rid of the black mood and I realize where all the prisoners that have been released are hanging out. They're in the street. There are hookers meeting John's in the parking lot of the McDonalds I decide I needed a bag of McChickens. Over a mile worth of dudes with face tats are hanging out.

I figure San Jose has gone to hell, but the buses are free. Luckily my gfs gave me an N95 mask bc it's required in public now. I take BART, subway to you guys, from Fremont to San Francisco. I see more meth heads and sidewalk sleepers in the train at 9pm than I'd normally see at 3am.

SFPD is sweeping meth heads out of Civic Center where I'm waiting for the final bus to a Lyft to my house.

I've fully crossed the length of the Bay Area on public transportation from the biggest hot spot in California. I totally get why guns and ammo are hot buys for those people that didn't grow up in human rot. It's my happy place, all auto repair annoyance is gone.

I feel focused, relaxed, and I can hear the heartbeat of my City again.

It's only when when I get home do I strip down and shower. I've not only endangered myself, but everyone around me bc I just swam in meth soaked coronavirus traces.

So learn from my stupidity, and don't decide to spend 4 hours around the literal worst case scenario in a viral outbreak.

If I'm dead before June, it's my fault.

Fascinating synopsis. When does the book come out?

Today's trip into town with one grocery store stop showed maybe half of the people wearing masks.
The smug look I got from people not wearing masks is annoying. This isn't a fashion statement or some random decision I made.
I thought we're all supposed to be in this together to save lives.

Really? When we go about our busines we don't see any of that kind of stuff. Everybody just does their thing with no comentary on their faces regarding who, and who is not, wearing a mask. Strange that you encounter such.

I see maybe half of the people wearing them. I wear it indoors only at places like the supermarket, pot shop, post office, etc (but I don't see as many of the employees wearing them anymore.) I see plenty of people on their walks wearing them outside. It depends on your risk vs reward comfort level.

This isn't a fashion statement...
Actually, that's why I chose the one I do wear :ninja:

What I meant was I don't choose to wear a mask as a fashion statement.
I try to look fashionable with the mask on, but it's not as though I chose to wear a mask to complete my look.

I want to custom print my own fabric if this is going to be a long term on our requirement.

My gobc ising to have to make me 8, so daily I can toss 1 in the laundry.
Kinda like how I treat socks and underwear, make it to laundry day.

I had most of a box of surgical masks in the garage from when my son was doing a lot of painting. I wear one when I shop (but not when driving to and from). Given the fact of asymptomatic transmission we are all dealing with, it just seems like the right thing to do.

Maybe the mask-wearers are giving smug looks to the non-maskers but it’s not obvious due to the mask. ;)

Ha, that's a good point. I scowl at people who ignore the social distancing and don't wear masks.
I'm having a hard time figuring this out. I'm seeing stories with pictures online how people in our state are doing a great job with the masks and social distancing. Then I go out and about around my town and I'm not seeing it.
Maybe I'm going to the wrong places.
Maybe I'm only looking for the non compliant.
Maybe I need an attitude adjustment and stop focusing on what I see that's wrong.

Only wore a mask at a Dr office as they gave me one. Otherwise no thanks. I'm okay with playing the odds on this one, and worst case scenario I would guess overpopulation is more of a threat to humanity than another in the very long line of viruses we have encountered. That said it's still kinda funny seeing the apocalypse cosplay going on.
