I said yes when “they” said no. Now “they” say yes.
They are stupid?i went 15 feet away from my front door today for the first time since march 13 to get a prescription delivered (yay, ralph's pharmacy!) wearing my previously worn N95 mask and vinyl gloves for the hand-off. i live in a gated community, and all the people i could see at that time were lots of moms with kids 11 and under. half of each group wore masks, not one single adult or child was distancing. none. nada. zip.
the kids were playing and including touching, running and breathing hard on each other, laughing in each others faces and so on, often from maybe a foot away. the moms were standing close together while chatting - closer than 3 feet in every case - and in most cases, a masked mom was chatting close up with an unmasked mom. most of those masks were homemade, ie not that effective.
many of those women are college freaking educated, and every building has CDC and state requirements and recommendations for distancing. btw, i believe california requires you to wear a mask in public, but only half were.
what is WRONG with people?
Saw someone wearing this today at Shoprite. Not sure if it's actually effective, but no one came within six feet of him, that's for sure!

No way am I going grocery shopping wearing a paper one...looks like people are wearing sanitary napkins on their faces!
Intelligence and common sense are inversely proportional, imo and ime.the thing is, the ones i've talked with in the past are intelligent, but they're... i guess maybe willfully ignorant. or in denial of something that half of them believe in enough to wear a mask, yet don't seem to really believe in.

Were they outside? If so, I'm with you on the kids touching. But standing and talking outside? I think they'll be OK. There's plenty to stress about. People standing outside isn't one of them.
When I meet people in my office or are in the store, I wear a mask. When I'm walking the dogs in the park, I don't.
Seriously though, I bought these.
