Back in the day, being a rebel and looking cool in a band meant dressing cooler than the audience. Not so these days. Now, it's the norm to look like you are one of the audience.

really? If I walked into a club and these guys were playing I would prepare myself for the most boring night ever! Unless they were playing for a hall full of blue hairs down at the local Vets hall!
I don't really understand this. Don't particularly like the idea of setting myself out to be better than the audience. Especially when we get off stage and we become part of the audience for the rest of the night!

Jim Morrison? Angus Young?I went to an audition once where part of the guitar player's stage antics was to pull his shorts down to his ankles and continue playing. I respectfully declined to join that band and later heard the guy was arrested for indecent exposure at a gig!
Right on. Here on the Central West Coast of Fla. Shorts is the norm, especially on the beaches.Summertime Gigs in Central Florida?
You can be sure that I will be wearing shorts and flip flops on stage.
Pulled your shorts down and got arrested for indecent exposure?i've done it. depends on the band and the gig.
Great movie.I'm not sure which side of the argument this picture supports, but I feel it needs to be a part of this thread.

Yeah, I guess that short of thing really depends on the band and the gig.

Me neither!
maybes it's the shorts...... maybe it's the hats..... maybe it's the lethal combination of the two.
Color coordination in metal? It's not just about whether or not they're shorts, it's about the presentation, color coordination, and environment. Back when i played in a metal band, we focused more on making sure we atleast wore similar colors than whether or not we all had a uniform on.
