Wedding present woes

If there's a registry, I pick something from that. If there's not, then I fill up a kitchen garbage can with all those little kitchen gadgets that you need but never think of until you're having to make do (bottle opener, chip clips, pot holders, oven mitts, pizza wheel, kitchen timer, etc). Then I toss in a gift card to Lowes or Home Depot and either a 1-year NetFlix subscription or gift card for dinner and a movie out.

But then - I'm practical like that.

I think this wins if you have money for it all.

Cash or registry gift. Otherwise you go in the "great, what do we do with that?" pile or get regifted to their next friend's wedding. Your tantric sex book or local pron store gift card really won't be as funny as you think it will be, trust me.

The bride and groom will most likely not laugh when grandma picks up the box of glow in the dark condoms and asks "Are these finger puppets?" Sure, I would, but don't risk it.
