I'm using Hercules hangers as well, glad I did it.
Now I can cram 5 instruments into this room, but limiting myself to 4.

It's nice to have a little wiggle room in case I come across something that I need to bring home.

Unfortunately this one has a little of the instrument in the passageway, because that's where the stud was.

FWIW, back when I started using wall mounts the only game in town was String Swing (i.e. no 'security gate'). So that's what I use, never bothered to upgrade but I never had a bass (or a guitar) drop out of one in more than 25 years. Several are mounted with drywall hangers, no issues there either.

Well if you have to narrow it down to just four, the four you've chosen would be pretty much be exactly what I would keep if and when I have to thin the herd. That may be coming to my music room sooner rather than later. Those plus an upright would cover every gig I do.
I'm very happy with the four I've narrowed it down to. That said, a PJ Saratoga is probably in my somewhat distant future.
