This is good too. I would skip through the first Jefferson Airplane set, but the rest of the show is great. David doesn't sing though.

There’s that outrageous Guild / Alembic sound only Jack got! David singing would have been a treat though (nice tambourine). The whole thing catches the vibe of the time, for sure.

One of the things I liked about him is that he seemed like a common guy who managed to get into one of the biggest rock groups of the mid 60s. He didn't have the ambitious quality of some. He was open about his personal beliefs like conspiracy theories, just a very common guy. Yet his influence on 60s music was significant.
Hardly a common guy; he was a Hollywood kid. His dad was quite successful and well-connected in the movie business.

Very few folks who make it in entertainment actually manage to pull themselves up from common beginnings. If you look closely you see that many of them come from well-connected families.
Jon Lovitz used to impersonate him on Saturday Night Live. Everything he said would trail into singing in a high voice. It was so bizarre.
