I guess it was the bass in my avatar. I had bought a MusicMan StingRay Special HH several months prior. I loved it so much that I bought a used second one. (So two Special HH's in the same year!) I love them both. The Burnt Ends is wearing DR Legends, and the Raspberry Burst is wearing T.I. Jazz Flats. Both of those are outstanding flats! (This pic was taken before I slapped the T.I. flats onto the Raspberry Burst.)

An iPad Pro 13” for playing gigs requiring sheet music. My old one (1st generation) can’t get the current OS updates. Instrument wise, this about 2 moths ago so he’d up.

My latest musical stuff purchase? Pretty underwhelming, really... A spiral bound bass tab notebook, and a set of D'Addario "universal" strap locks. I thought I might like to have strap locks on my Birdsong Fusion bass; but, now I'm thinking "well... maybe not". The Perry strap that it has now, is a pretty tight fit on the strap pins it has already; I don't move around hardly at all when I play; and, I leave the strap on it all the time, anyway. But, I have them if I change my mind... That Birdsong was the bass that completed my Herd; I doubt there will be any more "NBD's" around here. So, anything I buy now, will miscellaneous doo dads; strings; and such like...

Went to Sweetwater last Thursday with some friends - it's not all that far from south Bend... He was dying to play their Rick 325C64 - the one like the '58 325 that John Lennon played - and she's looking at light, short scale basses (she's learning on his Hofner 500/1 Ignition Pro). And I was... just looking. He was bummed out, discovering that the 3/4-sized 325 was too small for him to play. She's thinking about a Danelectro Longhorn (probably a black one); as for me? A set of Fender black strap locks; a set of nickel Schaller strap locks; and an embroidered Perry guitar strap, in a pattern that I don't already have. Like I said; miscellaneous doo-dads, strings, and such...

I just put a deposit down on a Barefaced BB3 cab. It will be my second. It will be this one's twin, except the front face will be cyan instead of green.

My latest gear purchase? Just got the Overloud Mark Studio 2 plugin for my DAW(also stand alone). A great addition for recording bass, especially if you're a Markbass fan. 6 heads models, 9 cabs, (or no cab) and a pedalboard consisting or 5 pedals. Octaver, envelope filter, distortion, compressor and chorus. Also a bunch of very usable presets and stores user presets. And very reasonably priced

I've only had it for a few days, but really diggin' it so far. Here's link if you're interested.

Kind of similar story here. Got the Pacific Blue Burst in October 2023 and loved it so much I ordered a Raspberry Burst in December.

Sadly, I had to send it back and wrestle with the seller and Reverb to get a refund because it had a significant backbow and a non-functioning truss road that wasn't disclosed. Super cool instrument that I wish I couldn't have kept. On to the next one, I suppose!
