What !!! a left handed combo amp?..

It's a lefty. You can see the image, the speaker is mounted upside down. Should still sound pretty good. They made this version for Australia.
From what I've played, I believe that ALL GK amps are sort of left handed. They put their tone controls, from left to right, as treble, mid, bass (and everything in between), not bass, mid, treble like most other builders.

Left-handed amplifier? Wow! I'm left-handed in a right-handed player's world. If only I knew! I bet that's on the same aisle in the store as left-handed screwdrivers, board benders and sky hooks.
That's very strange. I have a GK Backline 250 in my closet and the control board is reversed. Inputs are on the left and DI balanced out is on the right...Maybe a counterfeit?

I don't get how turning it upside down makes it right-handed.
When I went to high school, they made us write with fountain pens. It was hell for the lefties who were moving their writing hands over the still-wet ink and constantly smudging their work. Turning the pen upside down would have solved the problem, but only because the nib is now pointing up in the air so there's not going to be any ink on the page. It doesn't magically make it a left-handed pen.
Surely turning it upside down makes it a southern hemisphere amp with the controls on the bottom. Which is fine, if you're effectively standing on the ceiling anyway.

If I remember correctly, Josef Zawinul had a reverse keyboard built for his ARP2600, so he can solo with both hands. And by reverse I mean, natural keys, black, sharps/flats, white AND!!!!! the keyboard descending left to right!

For reasons I don't pretend to understand (I'm not an electrical engineer), to maintain the cleanest, most phase coherent signal path, GK preamps tone stack runs Treble - Middle - Bass (as opposed to the more conventional Bass - Middle - Treble).

And he has a point. You can fret just as well with either hand if you learn that way. Baseball players field grounders with their non-dominant hand simply because they need the strength of their dominant hand and arm to throw the ball. But fielding it is the hard part.

I wrap my cords according to the amp they get used with: counterclockwise for left handed amps and clockwise for right handed amps. That way you don't run into phase issues. Left handed cords are a bit more expensive, but its well worth it.
