probably not a joke --- left-handed people have secret societies, secret handshakes...a bunch of secret stuff. i'm more surprised by the disclosure. FWIW: i used to have a piano that was built for folks with two left hands...very rare!

My girlfriend is a lefty and she keeps disappearing at odd hours and sometimes comes back speaking backwards!

I grew up in a household that ONLY had a left handed pie cutter/server. You know the triangular pie cutter with the handle? Well, the right side edge was serrated to cut the pie, which meant you either had to “back hand” cutting and serving the pie, or use your left hand. We ended up using a knife to cut pies, and then using the server only to serve.

My parents never did just spend the $5 and buy a right handed pie server. I bet they still have it, some 40-50 years later!

Look at Mr. Fancy Man, with pie cutters. We had an Old Hickory butcher knife and a butter knife for a spatula, and we were glad to get it. I bet you have a pizza cutter, too, dont'cha? Spoiled rotten, you left-coasters...

Left-handed amplifier? Wow! I'm left-handed in a right-handed player's world. If only I knew! I bet that's on the same aisle in the store as left-handed screwdrivers, board benders and sky hooks.

A good store will have the wire stretchers, flucus valves, and Z-fittings there, too, but they're few and far between in the age of the big-box stores.

My Fender M-80 bass amp has the EQ laid out Treble, Mid, Bass (left to right).

Maybe it depends which hemisphere the amp was built in... like toilet flushing whirlpool direction....

Ibanez Promethean amps also have the controls running Treble - Mid - Bass. I use one now and then at rehearsals, and it always catches me out.

So I'm scrolling through cl because I'm bored and nothing better to do when I come across this listing for a "left handed bass amp"...this can't be real..I mean left handed basses, sure and not common really but yeah I've seen plenty but a left handed amp?...

Also works for rightys. You just have to turn it upside down and reverse the direction of the instrument cable.

Most floor pedals to me are backwards (input and output side), left handedly speaking.

Consider this also, when wiring a potentiometer on an instrument, the hot lead usually needs to be put on the opposite outer lug for correct rotation, and numbered pot knobs are numbered in reverse order.

British amps go right to left.

They have to be made that way, so they fit in the boot - In Britain, the whole car is built backwards, (even the battery is hooked up wrong) which is such a problem, they have to drive on the wrong side of the street to make things kinda work.

And, by the way, a lot of British combos go the other way - they just turn the amp's chassis upside down.
