If you use a 35" cover on a 34" bass, you'll need to move the bridge back about 1/2".Is a pickup cover for a 35" scale bass more difficult to use than a pickup cover for a 34" scale bass?

Do you prefer Maple, or Rosewood pickup covers? Which has a brighter tone?
Pretty sure Billy Mayes sells something for that.

Sorry to have to correct you here, but you're exactly half right! For those in the eastern hemisphere, it's exactly the opposite of those in the western hemisphere. In the eastern hemisphere, for example, the pickup covers actually work WITH the magnetic forces caused by the rotation of the earth, thereby NOT affecting your tone. In the western hemisphere, though, you're absolutely correct.Everyone knows they are there to counteract the magnetic forces caused by the rotation of the earth, which can effect your tone. The closer you live to the equator, the more effect.
That's BS. Any pickup covers can work in any genre, it's all in your hands. Look at Will Lee- he uses metal covers, and he makes it work in everything from hard rock to jazz. You must remember pickup covers were designed for certian types of music. They don't work on all songs.
how many pickup covers am i allowed on my base?
