Baird6869, I thought Slow Ride was Foghat?
Not for the band - Josie - Steely Dan. I was listening to Peg last night and thought that'd be a good one to learn too.
For the band, Unchained & Finish What Ya Started - Van Halen. The mix on FWYS is a travesty to Michael Anthony. You really have to hear what he's playing in the intro and middle part, believe it or not, it sounded like he was slapping (not popping) and they buried him in the mix. Not sure if I can cut Don Landee any slack here but I recall when we were mixing our one and only cd (we really just okayed/made suggestions to the engineer) there was one part where he did not have the floor toms level up but because they bled onto another mic we heard what the drummer was playing. The speakers used in the listening room were also massive which may have given us assurance when we should have been listening for levels (we also used the classic NS10 but missed it there too). When we heard the final mix on CDR we realized the toms were buried.
