I asked my wife for an envelope filter. Tomorrow morning will reveal which one she got me. My gift to her is a Coach purse and wallet. Her current purse is thraaaaaashed. She deserves it.

I asked for a new uke, Rocksmith, and some various gift cards (iTunes, Barnes and Noble, Warmoth).

Ended up getting the uke (this one, to be exact), a ton of clothes (sweaters, some gloves, slippers), a vinyl figure of Daryl Dixon (I love The Walking Dead), all three books in a trilogy I've been meaning to read, and other assorted things. Didn't get Rocksmith or the gift cards, but I figure I can use the money I was going to use to buy a new ukulele and the books to buy those things.

Notable stocking items: A four-pack of Burt's Bees chapstick (I love it, but always lose it) and an air freshener that's also a hula girl for my dashboard (smells like pina colada...score!).

I was really hoping for a Penn State/UMD acceptance letter before the holiday season, but they didn't deliver...waiting until January now.

Ordered it 4 weeks ago and finally showed up yesterday afternoon (ordered at a local music store here) learning what it can do and what I can do with it , but I like the sound and style of playing it

My surprise gifts were some eyeliner I wanted (I asked for it a few weeks ago, and we have a strict 'do not go to the mall after thanksgiving' policy', so that was a shock.

And my stepdad got me Ovechkin's signature on a shirt and framed it. My closeted hockey fan thinks that it's cool, but my anthropological student self is totally flipping over that fact that his signature isn't anglicized.

My wife got a Nutri Bullet Juicer, and a mixer. Daughter got a Samsung TV. I got two belts! I'm ok on equipment anyway. I usually buy what I want for myself. I'm on Winter Break from my school district. Being an hourly adult school employee, that means not much money this time of year.
