Just finished this the other night. It was a gift from my girlfriend and a quick and funny read. Short chapters make for excellent bathroom reading material.

Man, I love that book. It starts off slow, but I think that's intentional. Slowly building the parallel story lines, I may go start reading that one again!

David Thorne is hilarious.

For the most part he definitely can be. The book did have a couple instances where I think he was a little unnecessarily heavy on his correspondent, which for me makes it less funny. Again, only a couple times, the rest made me laugh regularly.

So after seeing a panel on Thursday with Max Brooks and other renowned zombie experts I decided to skip the Zombie Survival Guide to the top of my reading list:

Just got this three in one volume from Amazon a few days ago. It's been nearly impossible to put down.

Part way through Kerouac's Desolation Angels and I usually have some poetry lying around to read, but I just pull one of the shelf instead of reading them through.

I seem to be a lot more tired/fatigued than usual so I picked this up. Good place to start to find out what's happening. Comprehensive.

Beautifully written. My mom is from the part of the US depicted in the book and I spent a lot of time there as a kid. I can hear it in the dialogue.
