Someone (OK, I know who) gave me Richard Dolan's UFOs and the National Security State for Christmas. I'm now on Vol. II, and must say Dolan is much the best writer I'm aware of in this highly contentious field. Good syntax, tight arguments, adequate documentation.

I'm reading Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brian. Some of you may remember the movie with Russel Crowe. All in all an excellent book though it could have used a glossary for all the nautical lingo that's thrown about. I definitely will be picking up the 2nd book.
