What are you reading Chapter 4

Currently on my Kindle:

I'm just starting it. Saw it on FB and took a chance due to the low price. I'm not sure about it yet.

I know more about the drug habits of her and her circle than I ever needed to know

LOL, hers is light on the drug talk compared to Saul Hudson's. He almost tells you verbatim how to administer a speedball.

Lemmy comes in and gets highlighted for a chapter.

She mentioned him a few times, I didn't think it was really focused on him. I liked the part where he told her "No one said it was going to be easy.".

I was shocked to read she was there at Kent State during the shootings. Did you notice she referred to the James Gang as the Kent State Band, in the photos?

I would bet money the "Heavy Bikers" she refers to repeatedly are the Hell's Angels.

Apparently squatting is still a thing in merry old England.

It has been interesting but I find the jumping around to be distracting to the story at times. The time frame jumps can be enormous too. Again, it is a bit distracting. It feels, at times, like it was too much work to fill in the story so it is left bare at the expense of substance for expedience. That's not to say I haven't enjoyed it, but I find it fundamentally flawed in it's delivery.

I have the entire series on my Nook E pad so I've invested enough to ensure I'll complete the read :D

Niece gave me Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes for Christmas and I started reading it 2 weeks ago. Nice little Bachman book; almost done. Story is sort of dragging along at the end with that weird thing that King often does that drives me crazy: spoiler alerts in his own novel. We know where we're going before we get there; also: some cheese ball overly directed social interactions. Besides that, barring a terrible ending (not unheard of with Mr. King-- see Under the Dome), I can recommend it.
me thinks more DH Lawrence or maybe a second read of Straub's Koko next,
fnord!

I started reading Proust's (loosely?) autobiographical epic In Search of Lost Time in January, and recently began the third volume. He incorporates a wide breadth of knowledge of botany, mythology, art, etc., and an incredibly picturesque use of language to make the most mundane subjects utterly engrossing. He provides fascinating insight into psychology and sociology in daily dealings.

"Back Mechanic" by Stewart McGill ,suggested by 2nd oldest son who lifts 500 pounds at the gym. He's done weight training and sports forever, USMC, and now a LEO who keeps himself in very good shape. He mentioned this specific book helped him overcome some issues he was having when I mentioned 10 to 12 pound basses vs a 61 year old back.
