"The System Of The World" by Neal Stephenson. This guy's a legitimate genius IMO. All his books are excellent, but the Baroque Cycle (of which this the 3rd) is stunning. Huge ideas and very wittily written- I find it hard to put down.

Naked Lunch... oh my freaking God. This is possibly the most supremely whacked-out thing I've ever read. I highly recommend it.

Very interesting read, about media manipulation in the middle east and what's it like to actually live there as a civilian.

Norman Finkelstein: Beyond Chutzpah: On the Misuse of Anti-Semitism and the Abuse of History

Very well written I must say.
