What are your lightest/heaviest basses?...

Lightest: Ibanez Mikrobass, about 7 pounds.
Heaviest bass guitar: Warwick Corvette fretless, about the same weight as a midsize Toyota. Glad to report I no longer have it.
My electric upright weighs more than the Warwick did, but it mounts onto a stand so I don't have to support it.

Thanks, might get a d - bass or maybe a ball bass in the future. This one is a keeper. My kid might sell it when im in my grave. Keep an eye out LOL.
Well I'm actually considering both a SCB and either 30" or 32" for my next bass. By the time I have my new bordwells, I hope to not need any more than the 3 I'll already have. But if I could have, I would have bought yours and never ordered the 2 new ones. It looks like it came from the same batch of lightweight swamp ash mine came out of. Mine is a real joy. And similarly, my heirs will sell it when I'm gone, and have no idea how to do so correctly, and it'll end up in a pawn shop for $250.

I wanted to want a wattplower so badly, but the P only configuration was a deal breaker. Had it been a PJ I would have one right now already. Watt is my personal bass hero, in case my user name and signature line weren't clues.
Well I'm unmarried, and unsure where my current relationship is heading. If this one sticks (and I hope it does) she'll get good value. If not, my sister knows enough musicians to actually get just normal music store consignment prices for them.
It is a great bass. A better pickup and circuit than the typical P. The Wattplower MK II has a neck humbucker and three coil "P". I have one reserved. It is a FUN bass. SLAUGHTERS a Fender short scale.
Im considering a Bordwell short scale with 2 Nordstrand DC pups. I'm in the experiment stage with a fender 30" just to see how I like the way the strings behave. I like high string tension. If I can get the fender to behave with heavy strings, I'll be getting a 30" Bordwell when my turn comes up in the queue.
If I become a 30" guy, I'll probably sell all my 34"s and get the wattplower MKII just to have it.
I don't know about all that. I'm not very technical. I like Watt. I like Reverend. I've had Reverend in the past. I liked the look and the live videos of Watt rockin his signature axe. An anchor inlay? Perfect! I'm navy!
I threw away the stock strings and put on GHS Pressurewounds. It's loud and very thumpy with great bass and definition. Tone control is great. P on steroids.
Edit- forgot tension. A little floppier than my BBs, but I'm too busy banging away on the strings to notice. Looser like a short scale is. I like it and will keep it.
Ive seen fIREHOSE about 12 times. I've seen Watt in other contexts another 6. Most recently in 2016 playing the wattplower. Sounded great.
I dig in to hard when my strings get to floppy and I blister. So I'm trying an experiment with custom gauge strings. My left hand likes the short scale, my right hand needs the high tension. I'm hoping the custom gauge strings will turn me into a 30" player.
Ive proudly shaken his hand. Several times. He used to hang around after the fIREHOSE gigs and talk to the fans. He'd poke fun at grunge because he felt they were appropriating flannel culture, he'd explain why Basses only have 4 strings (because they're bigger). A friend of mine got to sing the closing line to A Quick One, While He's Away by The Who one night fIREHOSE covered it. Just cause he was standing up front and Watt handed him the mic. Those were good times.
Cb basses are so awesome. Worth every penny. I'm looking to get one more before my time here expires in my life. The one I got is a 30" scale . Yup. I'm a huge fan boy. Cliff is my builder for life. I have one in the queue for a Nov 2021 eta, and one due in May 2022. I'm dying. I expect these to be my last Basses ever. After going through about 8-10 bordwells, and living with my current on about 10-12 years, I think I can finally nail down the perfect bass. I'm going to build a prototype first, and then the final deluxe version if the custom neck profile and other ergonomic details come out as hoped.
My Jag Short Scale is only 6.7lb.

I've got two 7-string basses which by far are the heaviest, the BTB7 hanging on the left is my current heaviest at 4.9 kg (10 lb 13 oz), and the SRAS7 on the right is my second heaviest at 4.7 kg (10 lb 6 oz). I owned several 6 string basses weighing ≥5 kg in the past, so these two are relatively lighter being 7-ers.
SRH505 on the middle is my current lightest at 3.0 kg (6 lb 10 oz).

How long do I need to wait? I was born in 1950, 5'7" , 162 lbs. Playing 55 years. Bass weight a few lbs. this way or that is just not an important factor for me. Now shlepping an amp. That is the grunt work to be avoided. I've reduced everything to class D amps and neodymium drivers.
So, you're starting to get it. It won't be long until a 10 pound bass fells like a millstone around your neck.
