What are your lightest/heaviest basses?...

Lightest; Carvin LB75F Koa/ebony at 7.75 lbs.
2-way tie at 10.75lbs for the heaviest;
'78 Fretless P-Bass, and more recently, a Blacktop Jazz currently sporting a Tony Franklin Fretless neck.

3 ½" Levy's padded leather strap helps with the 2 behemoths.

10 pounds is a deal breaker for me. It's gotta weigh less than that or I'm not interested.
I think most of mine are 9-ish.

I have to weigh them but I'm guessing the lightest is my Yamaha RBX270F fretless (close to 7.5 lbs), and the heaviest is my Ibanez Roadstar II fretless (close to 11.5 lbs).

My Dano weighs in at 6.8lbs (which includes a Reverend chrome arm rest) and the sit-down battle axe of my collection is the ATK at a whopping 11.6lbs. How important is weight to you? I've heard some people say they won't ever buy a bass over 9lbs. I guess it depends on what you're gonna do with it. I would never want to play a gig with something like that ATK but for sitting down and noodling around with... Why not? I guess if I had to put a number on it, over 9.2lbs is when a bass starts to feel a little cumbersome to me. Do you have a cut-off point when it comes to weight? Please share.

I've always wondered how much my basses weigh. Now that we have a newborn baby again we have a scale.

Squier VM Fretless Jazz (my #1) weighs 9 lbs 2 oz
Schecter Raiden Special-4 weighs 8 lbs 8 oz
Ibanez AEB5E Acoustic weighs 6 lbs 4 oz

Update: I traded the VM Fretless Jazz for an Ibanez Roadstar II RB630 that weighs in at a lovely 7 lbs 15 oz. I love that! Plus it has a wonderful feel and tone. Marvelous.

I once very briefly owned and used (for about nine days) a Jay Turser Jazz bass that weighed over 10 pounds and had neck dive like crazy. Got rid of it for those two exact reasons.
